In one paragraph

What is CatVision Enterprise Resource Management System?

CatVision Enterprise Resource Management System (CatVision ERMS) is an AI-powered accounting system and ERP built by Radical Systems in Harare, Zimbabwe. It runs the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procure-to-pay, inventory and warehouse management, the fixed-asset register, budgets, HR and performance, and school administration from a single auditable MySQL database. Deep machine-learning models read supplier invoices, detect duplicate and anomalous payments, score supplier risk, and forecast demand and cash flow — while a named human still authorises every posting, so the audit trail never breaks.

The same platform is licensed as the CatVision Enterprise Accounting System for finance-led deployments, and as CatVision Integrated System for Schools for education. Radical Systems also builds custom-made software on the platform and implements and supports Sage Pastel, Pastel Evolution, Sage 300 and Sage X3.

Accounting system

Accounting software that already knows what you bought.

CatVision is an accounting system for organisations that are tired of posting supplier invoices that never met a purchase order. Payables, payment runs and budgets sit on the same trail as procurement and the asset register.

Most “accounting software” in Southern Africa is a general ledger with invoices typed in by hand. CatVision starts earlier: the bill is matched to a purchase order and a goods received voucher before finance can schedule payment. That is the difference between a bookkeeping tool and an accounting system with control.

  • Supplier invoice register with three-way match to PO and GRV
  • Accounts payable ageing, payment runs and remittances
  • Budget versus actual, including committed spend not yet invoiced
  • Exports your Sage Evolution, Pastel, Sage 300 or X3 ledger already imports
  • Multi-currency and multi-entity in Enterprise Plus

Budget control before the order

Commitment is recorded when the purchase order is issued. Finance sees available, committed and actual — not a surprise at payment. That is accounting software used as a control, not a diary.

Works with Sage, does not fight it

Radical Systems implements Sage. CatVision is designed to sit in front of the ledger: approved POs, GRVs and invoices export in the formats those products already import. You do not have to rip out a working Sage company to get procure-to-pay discipline.

Book an accounting demo

Procurement management system

Procurement software that stops spend before it is too late.

A procurement system is not a purchase-order template. It is the rules of who may buy, from whom, at what price, against which budget — written so an auditor can replay them.

  • Department requisitions with lines, quantities and attachments
  • Visual multi-level approval by value, department and role
  • RFQ to the supplier register, with a portal for quotes
  • Compliance gate: expired tax clearance cannot win the award
  • Purchase order generated from the winning quote — no re-typing
  • Goods received (GRV) with tolerances and audited overrides
  • Three-way match before the invoice can enter a payment run

Purchase order software, not a Word file

The PO is built from the awarded quotation. Budget commits on issue. The supplier gets a branded PDF and a portal notice. That is purchase order software attached to the rest of procure-to-pay.

Supplier portal

Suppliers register, upload statutory documents, answer RFQs line by line, acknowledge orders and see payment status. Procurement stops being a switchboard.

Book a procurement demo See the cycle

Asset management system

A fixed-asset register that starts with the purchase order.

CatVision is an asset management system for organisations whose Excel register disagrees with the ledger. Capital items are received against a PO, capitalised onto the register, assigned a custodian, and depreciated for the books — in the same suite as procurement and accounting.

  • Fixed-asset master: tag, category, location, custodian, serial
  • Capitalisation from goods received on capital purchase orders
  • Transfers between sites and custodians, fully audited
  • Depreciation methods and periods that finance can post from
  • Disposals and write-offs with an approval trail
  • Inventory of stores items that are not yet (or never) capitalised

Why the register drifts — and how to stop it

Registers drift when assets are bought outside procurement, tagged later, or never tagged. CatVision ties the asset to the GRV. If stores did not receive it, it is not on the register. If it is on the register, there is a PO behind it.

Artificial intelligence · deep machine learning

CatVision does not just record what happened. It tells you what is about to.

Every module in CatVision Enterprise is wired into the CatVision AI Engine — a layer of deep neural networks and classical machine-learning models trained on your own transaction history, not on a generic template.

How CatVision uses AI and deep machine learning: document-understanding models read supplier invoices, delivery notes and receipts and turn them into coded transaction lines; anomaly-detection models learn each cost centre's normal spending shape and flag what does not fit; gradient-boosted and sequence models forecast demand, stock-outs and cash position; a supplier risk model scores delivery reliability, pricing drift and compliance expiry; and a natural-language assistant lets a finance officer ask "which departments will exceed budget this quarter?" in plain English. Every AI output is advisory and explainable — it shows the evidence and the confidence, and a named human still authorises the posting.

AI invoice capture (OCR + NLP)

Photograph or email a supplier invoice and the deep-learning reader extracts supplier, date, tax number, line items, VAT and totals, matches it to the purchase order, and queues it for approval. No re-keying, no transposition errors.

Anomaly & duplicate detection

Models learn each supplier's and cost centre's normal pattern, then flag duplicate invoice numbers, split purchases that dodge a threshold, round-number irregularities, out-of-hours postings and prices drifting away from history — before the payment run.

Forecasting & demand planning

Sequence models project consumption, lead times, stock-outs, budget burn-down and cash position weeks ahead, so buyers order at the right time and finance sees the squeeze before it arrives.

Supplier risk scoring

Every supplier carries a learned score across delivery reliability, quote competitiveness, price drift, dispute history and compliance-document expiry — surfaced at the moment of award, not in a quarterly review.

Natural-language assistant

Ask the system questions in plain English — "show unapproved requisitions over 5,000 in Engineering" — and get an answer with the underlying records. The assistant suggests; it never posts on your behalf.

Early-warning for schools

In the Schools edition the same engine watches attendance patterns, assessment trajectories and fee arrears, and tells the head of school which learners and which accounts need attention this week.

Your data stays yours. CatVision AI can run entirely on-premise against a locally hosted model, or against a managed provider if you prefer — configured per deployment. Nothing is used to train anyone else's model, and every AI-assisted action is written to the same immutable audit trail as a human one.

Education edition

CatVision Integrated System for Schools

A complete school management system and learning management system — and, underneath it, the same accounting engine that runs our corporate clients. The bursar's books and the registrar's records are finally the same record.

CatVision Integrated System for Schools (CatVision ISS) administers enrolment, classes and streams, timetabling, attendance, continuous assessment, ZIMSEC and Cambridge examination tracking, report cards, boarding, transport and health records — and joins all of it to school fees billing and receipting, arrears and bursaries, procurement, stores, the asset register and staff payroll on one ledger. Parents get a portal with statements and results; heads get a live financial and academic picture; the AI engine flags attendance drops, falling assessment trajectories and fee arrears early enough to act on.

Registrar & academics

  • Enrolment, learner profiles and documents
  • Classes, streams, subjects and timetabling
  • Daily and per-lesson attendance
  • Continuous assessment and mark books
  • ZIMSEC and Cambridge examination tracking
  • Automated report cards and transcripts
  • Learning management: assignments and resources

Bursary & finance

  • Fee structures per class, term and boarding status
  • Invoicing, receipting and part-payment plans
  • Arrears ageing and automated reminders
  • Bursaries, scholarships, levies and discounts
  • School procurement, stores and asset register
  • Staff payroll, leave and performance appraisal
  • Board, ministry and audit reporting packs

Parents & intelligence

  • Parent and guardian portal with statements
  • Results, attendance and conduct visible online
  • SMS and email notices to selected groups
  • AI early-warning on attendance and performance
  • Fee-arrears risk scoring before term starts
  • Boarding, transport and health records
  • Alumni and enrolment pipeline tracking

Stores

Inventory and warehouse management system

Stock stops being a month-end estimate. Every receipt, issue, transfer and return posts to the ledger as it happens, so the store and the balance sheet agree on any given Tuesday.

Multi-warehouse and bin control

Stock on hand by site, warehouse, bin and condition, with transfers that require an authorised receipt at the other end.

Internal stock requests

Departments request from stores before they request from a supplier — the cheapest purchase order is the one you never raise.

Batch, serial and expiry

Full traceability for regulated stock, with expiry alerts and recall-ready lot histories.

AI reorder points

Machine-learned consumption and lead-time models set reorder levels that move with the season instead of a number typed in 2019.

Stock takes and variance

Counted-versus-book variance reports with reason codes, sign-off and a permanent adjustment trail.

Straight into assets

Capital items received in stores are capitalised onto the fixed-asset register without anyone retyping a serial number.

People

HR and performance management

The people side of the ERP: records, leave, contracts and a performance management system that ties objectives to the departments and budgets already in the ledger.

Employee records

Contracts, qualifications, next of kin, disciplinary history and document expiry alerts in one profile.

Leave and time

Leave applications routed through the same visual approval workflow as a requisition, with balances and accruals.

Performance management

Objectives, KPIs, mid-term reviews and appraisals, scored against departmental targets rather than memory.

Payroll-ready

Clean exports for Sage Pastel Payroll and other payroll engines — or run schools payroll directly in the Schools edition.

Custom-made software

When the off-the-shelf answer is the wrong answer, we build yours.

Radical Systems is a software house first. CatVision is what we built for ourselves and our clients — and the same Harare engineering team builds custom-made software for organisations whose process genuinely does not fit a box.

Custom software development at CatVision / Radical Systems covers bespoke modules on the CatVision platform, standalone line-of-business applications, systems integration and REST APIs, data migration from Pastel, Sage, Excel and legacy databases, custom machine-learning models trained on your data, mobile and offline-capable applications, and ongoing hosting, maintenance and support retainers. The stack is standard PHP 8 and MySQL with vanilla JavaScript — deliberately boring, widely supportable technology, so you are never held hostage by a proprietary runtime or a single developer.

Bespoke modules

A weighbridge integration, a fuel-issue system, a clinic dispensary, a levy collection portal — built into CatVision so it inherits the workflow, permissions and audit trail for free.

Integration & APIs

Connect CatVision or your existing systems to banks, mobile money, biometric devices, POS, Sage ledgers, BI tools and government portals through a documented REST API.

Data migration

Suppliers, customers, stock, opening balances, asset registers and years of history moved out of Pastel, Sage, Excel or a legacy system — and reconciled, not just imported.

Machine-learning models

Custom models for your own problem: credit scoring, yield prediction, route optimisation, churn, demand — trained on your data, deployed where your data lives.

Portals & mobile

Supplier, customer, parent and field-officer portals that work on a weak connection, install to the home screen and keep working when the network does not.

Support retainers

Hosting, backups, monitoring, upgrades and a named engineer — the part most software projects forget to budget for.

Why organisations replace spreadsheets and disconnected accounting software

Buying, paying, holding stock and tracking assets should be one story.

Without a connected system

  • Accounting software full of invoices that never met a purchase order
  • Procurement lives in email; nobody can prove who authorised the spend
  • The asset register is a spreadsheet that disagrees with the ledger
  • Stock figures are a guess until somebody counts
  • The same supplier is paid twice and nobody notices until the reconciliation
  • Month-end is reconstruction, not reporting

With CatVision Enterprise

  • Every bill traces to a purchase order, a receipt and a named approval
  • Budget is committed before the order, not after the damage
  • Capital items land on the asset register straight from the GRV
  • Stock posts to the ledger as it moves, not at month-end
  • AI flags the duplicate, the split purchase and the price drift before payment
  • Auditors get one PDF bundle per transaction, in one click

Procure-to-pay

How the procurement cycle actually runs

Ten controlled stages. Each is a real screen with its own inbox, permissions and audit line — the same path finance later posts from, and the same evidence an auditor or PRAZ reviewer asks for.

Departmental requisition

Staff raise a numbered request against a cost account, with lines, quantities, a needed-by date and attachments. Drafts save. Repeat orders take one click. Stores availability is checked first, so nothing is bought that is already sitting in a warehouse.

  • Catalogue and free-text lines with unit costs
  • Live remaining-budget indicator as the requester types
  • AI suggests the correct expense account from the description

Compliance

Built for regulated, multi-country and donor-funded operations

Public bodies, NGOs, church and mission organisations, universities and group companies need procurement and finance that stand up in any jurisdiction. CatVision assumes the evidence must travel — locally and internationally.

PPDPA Act & PRAZ

Competitive methods, thresholds, evaluation committees, standstill periods and complete documentary evidence for the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe oversight.

Donor procurement rules

Evidence packs that satisfy World Bank, UNDP, Global Fund and bilateral donor procurement guidelines — three quotes, justification, no-objection trail, retention of records.

VAT and statutory tax

VAT input and output tracking, supplier tax numbers, withholding on non-compliant suppliers, and return-ready extracts — configurable for the tax authority you report to, including ZIMRA where you file in Zimbabwe.

IFRS & IPSAS

Accrual, commitment and cash-basis views, asset revaluation, depreciation policies and disclosure-ready statements for private and public sector reporting.

Audit & internal control

Segregation of duties enforced in code, an immutable trail of who did what and when, and a one-click transaction bundle for external audit.

Data protection

Role-based access, encrypted sessions, retention and deletion rules, and the option to keep every byte inside your own building.

Security

Controls auditors ask for, enforced in code

Segregation of duties

The person who evaluates cannot approve; the person who approves cannot issue; the person who receives cannot pay. Not a policy — a permission.

Access and MFA

Role-based permissions, email and SMS one-time codes, session lockout and rate limits on sign-in.

Your database

PHP 8 and MySQL. On-premise, private cloud or hosting. Prepared statements throughout, CSRF verification on every state change.

Immutable audit trail

Every create, edit, approve, reject and payment is written with user, time and IP. Records are appended, never quietly overwritten.

Implementation

From first workshop to go-live in four to ten weeks

A fixed, published path — so you can plan around it and hold us to it.

Week 1

Discovery workshop

We map your departments, cost centres, approval thresholds, current chart of accounts and whatever data is currently living in Pastel, Sage or Excel.

Weeks 1–2

Install and configure

CatVision goes onto your server or a private cloud. The chart of accounts is loaded and the approval workflow is drawn in the visual designer with your real thresholds.

Weeks 2–4

Data migration

Suppliers, customers, stock items, opening balances and the asset register are migrated and reconciled line by line — not dumped and hoped over.

Weeks 3–5

AI model calibration

The machine-learning models train on your historical spend, stock and payment data so anomaly detection and forecasting reflect your own patterns from day one.

Weeks 4–7

Role-based training

Requisitioners, approvers, buyers, stores, finance and administrators are each trained on the screens they actually use — not a generic tour of the whole system.

Weeks 6–10

Parallel run and go-live

One full cycle runs alongside the old process, then you go live with hypercare support from the Harare team on the end of a phone.

Also from Radical Systems

Sage Pastel, Pastel Evolution, Sage 300 and Sage X3

We licence, implement, upgrade, train and support the Sage and Pastel range for clients at home and abroad — not only CatVision. Same engineering team, same phone and WhatsApp, whichever ledger you run.

Pastel

Sage Pastel Xpress

Entry-level Pastel accounting for a small trading company: invoices, cashbook, customers and VAT without a warehouse. We set the company up so a later move to Partner is a conversion, not a rewrite. Chart of accounts, VAT settings, invoice layout, opening balances, a backup routine, and training.

Pastel

Sage Pastel Partner

The workhorse Pastel accounting system in Zimbabwe: multi-user, inventory, job costing and the reports accountants expect. We sell licences, add users, train bookkeepers and stay on the line when year-end will not close. CatVision purchase orders can post into Partner when procurement must be controlled outside the ledger.

Evolution

Pastel Evolution (Sage 200 Evolution)

SQL-based mid-market ERP: general ledger, AR/AP, multi-warehouse, manufacturing (BOM and works orders), projects and serial/lot tracking. The usual Zimbabwe path is Partner until the file is slow or warehouses multiply. We quote a conversion, a parallel-run month, and training — not “install Evolution and leave Partner running forever.”

Payroll

Sage Pastel Payroll

PAYE, NSSA, aids levy and statutory payroll running next to Pastel Partner or Evolution. Journals can post into the ledger so salaries are not a separate spreadsheet. CatVision is not a payroll engine; staff-related buying sits in CatVision, the salary run stays in Pastel Payroll.

Sage ERP

Sage 300

Formerly Accpac. Multi-company, multi-currency ERP for groups that have outgrown Evolution: GL, AR, AP, inventory, order entry, optional manufacturing and projects. A Sage 300 project is chart of accounts, company structure, opening balances, user roles and a parallel month — with a named engineer in Harare afterwards.

Sage ERP

Sage X3

Enterprise ERP for discrete and process manufacturing, complex distribution and multi-site finance. Quality, MRP, shop floor and financials sit on one data model. We only recommend it after a fit-gap. CatVision can sit in front as the Zimbabwe-specific procurement layer.

Desktop & mobile

Install the procurement system on Android, Windows, iPhone or Mac

Download and install the app for your device. It places an icon on your desktop or home screen; opening it launches the staff login at catvisionenterprise.com/public/login.php. Android and Windows use the installers below; on iPhone add the login page to your Home Screen in Safari.

Staff already signed in can also download these from My settings → Apps inside the portal. On Windows, run the downloaded installer, finish the setup, and use the desktop shortcut — it opens the staff login. Android may warn that the APK is from outside the Play Store — that is expected for a company installer. Windows SmartScreen may do the same for the EXE. On iPhone, use Install on iPhone, open the login page in Safari, then Add to Home Screen.

Plain definitions

ERP, accounting and procurement terms, defined

If you are researching before you buy, start here. These are the definitions we use throughout the product and the documentation.

What is an ERP system?
An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is a single database and application suite that runs finance, procurement, inventory, assets and people together, so every department reports from the same numbers instead of emailing separate spreadsheets to each other at month-end.
What is an Enterprise Resource Management System (ERMS)?
An enterprise resource management system takes classic ERP and adds the control layer around it: authorisation workflow, budget gating, compliance checks, segregation of duties and an immutable audit trail on every transaction. CatVision is an ERMS because recording the transaction is only half the job — proving it was authorised is the other half.
What is an accounting system?
An accounting system records, classifies and reports every financial transaction of an organisation: the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, tax and statutory reporting. Good accounting software gives you a trial balance; a good accounting system also tells you who authorised the spend and whether the goods actually arrived.
What is procurement?
Procurement is the controlled process of identifying a need, sourcing competitively, authorising the spend, ordering, receiving and paying — with documented evidence at each step. The procurement cycle in CatVision is ten stages from requisition to payment.
What is a three-way match?
A three-way match compares the purchase order, the goods received voucher and the supplier invoice. Payment is only scheduled when quantity and price agree across all three documents, within an agreed tolerance. It is the single most effective control against paying for goods you never received.
What is commitment accounting?
Commitment accounting reserves budget the moment a purchase order is issued, so the remaining budget shown to the next approver already accounts for orders that have not yet been invoiced. It is why a budget gate works before the damage rather than after it.
What is a school management system?
A school management system administers enrolment, timetabling, attendance, assessment, examinations, fees and school finances in one system, giving heads, bursars, teachers and parents a shared record. When it is also a learning management system, assignments, resources and results live in the same place.
What is a fixed asset register?
A fixed asset register lists every capitalised item with its cost, location, custodian, depreciation method and net book value, reconciled to the general ledger. If the register and the ledger disagree, at least one of them is fiction.

FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask

What is the best accounting system for a business in Zimbabwe?

CatVision Enterprise Accounting System is built for Zimbabwean and Southern African operating conditions: multi-currency USD and ZWG, ZIMRA VAT handling, IFRS and IPSAS-aligned reporting, tolerance for unreliable connectivity, and implementation and support from an office in Harare you can walk into. Unlike imported subscription accounting software it is licensed per organisation rather than per user, runs on your own PHP 8 and MySQL server if you want it to, and includes procurement, stores and the fixed-asset register in the same ledger rather than as paid add-ons.

What is CatVision Enterprise Resource Management System?

CatVision Enterprise Resource Management System (CatVision ERMS) is an AI-assisted ERP and accounting suite that runs the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procure-to-pay, inventory and warehousing, the fixed-asset register, budgets, HR and performance, and — through CatVision Integrated System for Schools — full school administration, all on one auditable database. It is also sold as the CatVision Enterprise Accounting System where finance is the entry point.

Does CatVision really use AI and deep machine learning?

Yes. The CatVision AI Engine ships with the product: deep-learning document models read and code supplier invoices; anomaly-detection models learn each cost centre's normal pattern and flag duplicates, split purchases and price drift; sequence models forecast demand, stock-outs and cash position; a supplier risk model scores reliability and compliance; and a natural-language assistant answers questions about your own data. Every output is advisory and explainable — it shows its evidence, and a named human still authorises the posting, so the audit trail stays intact.

What is CatVision Integrated System for Schools?

It is the education edition: a school management system and learning management system covering enrolment, classes and streams, timetabling, attendance, continuous assessment, ZIMSEC and Cambridge examination tracking, report cards, boarding, transport and health records — joined to school fees billing and receipting, arrears and bursaries, procurement, stores, the asset register and staff payroll on the same accounting ledger. Bursars stop reconciling a fees spreadsheet against the books, because they are the same record.

Do you build custom-made software?

Yes. Radical Systems is a software house in Harare. We build bespoke modules on the CatVision platform, standalone line-of-business applications, integrations and REST APIs, data migrations from Pastel, Sage, Excel and legacy databases, custom machine-learning models, and mobile or offline-capable portals. The stack is standard PHP 8 and MySQL with vanilla JavaScript — deliberately mainstream technology, so you are never locked into a proprietary runtime or a single developer.

Is CatVision an alternative to Sage, Pastel, Xero, Zoho or QuickBooks?

It is a local alternative, and where you already run Sage or Pastel it is also a companion. CatVision covers accounting, procurement, stores and assets in one licence with AI analytics included, is supported face to face from Harare, and exports cleanly to Sage Pastel, Pastel Evolution, Sage 300 and Sage X3. Plenty of clients keep their Sage ledger and put CatVision in front of it for requisitions, approvals, purchase orders and receiving.

Do you sell and support Sage Pastel, Sage 300 and Sage X3?

Yes. Radical Systems licences, implements, upgrades, trains and supports Sage Pastel Xpress, Sage Pastel Partner, Pastel Evolution (Sage 200 Evolution), Sage Pastel Payroll, Sage 300 and Sage X3 in Zimbabwe, from the same office that supports CatVision. See Sage Pastel, Sage 300 and Sage X3 on this page.

What is the difference between Pastel Evolution, Sage 300 and Sage X3?

Pastel Evolution (Sage 200 Evolution) is mid-market SQL accounting with light ERP — manufacturing, multi-warehouse and projects. Sage 300 suits multi-company, multi-currency groups needing stronger consolidation. Sage X3 is enterprise ERP for manufacturing and process industries with complex operations. We will tell you honestly which of the three — or CatVision — fits your size and process, and then implement it.

Does CatVision support public procurement rules such as the PPDPA Act, PRAZ and donor requirements?

Yes. The procurement module supports competitive methods, value thresholds, evaluation committees, standstill periods, supplier compliance expiry blocking and complete documentary evidence — which is what the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, PRAZ oversight and donor rules such as World Bank, UNDP and Global Fund procurement guidelines expect. Every stage produces a dated, attributable record you can hand to an auditor without assembling a file first.

Is CatVision cloud-based or on-premise?

Either, and you can change your mind later. It runs on your own server, on a private cloud managed by Radical Systems, or on standard commercial hosting. The stack is PHP 8 and MySQL, so your data lives in an open database you can back up, query directly and take with you.

How long does implementation take, and how is it priced?

Most organisations go live in four to ten weeks including workflow configuration, data migration, AI model calibration and role-based training. CatVision is licensed per organisation rather than per named user, in three editions — Standard, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus — with a written quotation after a scoping call. Adding users or departments does not change the licence.

What does an inventory and warehouse management system add to accounting software?

It turns stock from a month-end estimate into a live figure. CatVision tracks stock on hand by warehouse and bin, issues to departments, internal stock requests, returns, transfers, reorder levels, batch and serial numbers and stock takes, and posts the movements to the ledger as they happen — so the balance sheet and the store agree on any given day, not just after a count.

Can CatVision handle multiple companies and currencies?

Yes. Enterprise Plus supports multiple legal entities, inter-company transactions, consolidated reporting and multi-currency transacting with revaluation — USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR, ZWG and others — which is what groups operating across countries need day to day.

Can I use CatVision on my phone or a Windows PC without a browser?

Yes. Download the Android, Windows or Mac app for CatVision Enterprise Procurement, or the Sage Evolution branded wrapper. On iPhone, tap Install on iPhone and add the site to your Home Screen in Safari. The wrappers open this same portal, show a splash screen while it loads, and tell you if there is no internet. Signed-in staff can also fetch the installers from My settings → Apps.

Is there a supplier portal?

Yes, and it is included rather than licensed separately. Suppliers register themselves, upload compliance documents, respond to RFQs, acknowledge purchase orders and track payment status without telephoning procurement. Expired compliance documents block an award automatically.

Can we migrate our data from Pastel, Sage or Excel?

Yes — suppliers, customers, stock items, opening balances, the asset register and historical transactions. Migration is a scoped stage of every implementation, and balances are reconciled against your last signed-off trial balance before go-live rather than assumed.

What happens to our data if we stop using CatVision?

You keep it. It is a MySQL database on infrastructure you can control, and we will provide a full dump plus documented schema on request. There is no export fee and no proprietary file format standing between you and your own records.

Where do I log in to Sage, Pastel or CatVision?

CatVision: staff sign in at the staff login page on your own installation; if you have forgotten your password use password reset, and if the account is locked your system administrator can unlock it. Sage Pastel Partner, Xpress and Payroll are desktop applications — you log in inside the installed program with your Pastel user name and password, not through a website; if the company file will not open or the login is refused, that is usually a data or licence issue and we repair it. Pastel Evolution, Sage 300, Sage X3, Sage Business Cloud Accounting and Sage Intacct each have their own vendor sign-in. If you are a client of ours and cannot get into any of them, call +263 242 773 872 and we will sort out the licence, the user account or the data.

How does CatVision compare with Sage Intacct, Palladium, Xero or Zoho Books?

Sage Intacct is strong cloud financial management aimed mainly at North American and European mid-market finance teams; Palladium, Xero and Zoho Books are solid small-to-mid accounting packages. All are accounting-first: procurement workflow, a supplier portal, commitment control and a fixed-asset register fed from goods receiving are either absent, extra, or a higher tier. CatVision includes those in one per-organisation licence, adds the AI engine at every level, holds your data in a MySQL database you control, and is implemented and supported from Harare in your time zone and currency. If all you need is a clean small-business ledger, one of the others may genuinely suit you better — and we will say so.
